Surrounded by this pristine natural landscape, Pure Gangwon is carefully crafted with clear water flowing down from Mount Kumgang.
Built on the familiar character of soju, Pure Gangwon is finished with a small amount of wild pine mushroom extract for a smoother drinking experience.
The extract is added so delicately that virtually no mushroom aroma is perceptible; rather than imparting mushroom flavor, it enhances the smoothness of each sip and softens the sharpness of the alcohol. Low-temperature filtration further reduces unwanted off-notes, preserving a clear, clean taste.
Despite its 19.5% ABV, Pure Gangwon is neither sharp nor harsh. Its alcohol aroma is less pronounced than that of diluted soju, making it smooth and approachable.
Even as the market shifts toward lower-ABV spirits, Pure Gangwon retains the nostalgic 19.5% strength of classic soju, bringing together memories of traditional soju and the distinctive character of a Gangwon regional specialty.
